About The Position

VCA Farmingville Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join its full-service veterinary practice in Farmingville, New York. The LVT will support veterinary technicians and doctors while helping create a positive, low-stress experience for clients and patients and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities

Support veterinary technician and doctor teams in delivering patient care.
Help create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients and provide an outstanding client experience.
Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
Monitor anesthesia.
Prepare for and assist with surgeries.
Provide dentistry services.
Perform radiology and laboratory work.
Perform venipuncture and place catheters.
Handle pharmacy-related tasks.
Support patient recovery and provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
