Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a licensed veterinary technician in a general practice setting.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday.
Comfort with computers and online tools.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Strong communication skills with clients.
A thoughtful, fearless team-player attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for pets.

Responsibilities

Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses and triage patients.
Assess patients, record vital signs, and assist doctors with diagnostics.
Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor.
Provide basic husbandry and nursing care.
Monitor changes in patients and provide compassionate care.
Collect blood and place catheters.
Assist with and facilitate radiography capture.
Prepare samples for outside reference laboratories and run in-house laboratory tests.
Prepare and administer medications.
Help maintain a hospitable environment.
