About The Position

Dixieland Veterinary Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician for a full-time, on-site role at their established small-animal practice in the rural Florida panhandle. This tech-driven clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including Idexx in-house lab machines, digital radiology with consultations, in-house ultrasound, and a cold therapy laser. The practice actively encourages training and education, offering the technician the opportunity to run their own rooms, see patients independently, and assist in training other staff members, rather than solely assisting the veterinarian.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician training program
• Passed the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Examination)
• Active license to practice as a Veterinary Technician in the State of Florida

Responsibilities

• See recheck appointments and run own exam rooms
• Work with emergency and hospitalized patients
• Perform dental cleanings
• Assist the veterinarian during procedures as needed
• Educate clients clearly and confidently on their pets’ care
• Help train current and future staff members
• Operate Idexx in-house lab machines, digital radiology, ultrasound, and cold therapy laser equipment
• Contribute to a friendly, efficient team known for excellent client service
