About The Position

Join the VCA Mainland Animal Hospital Team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician! VCA Mainland Animal Hospital has been serving Galveston County with compassionate veterinary care for over 20 years. We are proudly AAHA accredited, Cat Friendly, and a hands-free radiology practice. We have 5 full-time DVMs and a part-time DVM. Teamwork is constant in our daily practice, and our team is dedicated to make it their mission to help pets live long healthy lives. To be true to this mission, we rely on teamwork. Each team member is equally important in helping our patients and clients. At VCA Animal Hospitals, we are looking to add full-time team members to our hospital! Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
  • Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience, so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
  • Utilize knowledge of physical examinations and patient assessment.
  • Monitor anesthesia.
  • Prepare and assist in surgeries.
  • Perform dentistry.
  • Operate radiology equipment.
  • Conduct laboratory work.
  • Perform venipuncture.
  • Place catheters.
  • Administer pharmacy services.
  • Manage patient recovery.
  • Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
