About The Position

VCA RIVER is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Radiology Department at our AAHA-accredited emergency and specialty animal hospital in Chattanooga, TN. This role supports our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service by providing care, diagnostics, and treatments for patients. The position involves utilizing a wide range of technician skills, including procedural anesthesia monitoring, departmental billing support, ER/ICU team skill building, inventory and equipment repair, collecting patient histories and physical exams, medication refills, pet parent communication, proficient medical calculations, venipuncture, IVC placement, and hands-free radiology with a focus on associate safety. Collaboration with team members across all hospital services and providing compassionate care for all patients are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

• Proficient in veterinary technician skills and the desire to grow in leadership
• 3 or more years of veterinary technician experience
• Experience with emergency & critical care and specialty medicine preferred
• Available to work some weekends to meet scheduling needs.
