About The Position

Ardsley Veterinary Associates is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced 6-doctor general animal practice located in Ardsley, NY. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients, including preventative care, surgery, urgent care, high-speed dentistry, cold laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, digital full body and dental radiology, and ultrasonography. We are located in a vibrant area of Westchester County, not too far from New York City. Our practice offers board-certified cardiologist, board-certified internist, and board-certified surgeons who are available for consultation and surgery procedures. Our hours of operation are: Mon - Fri: 8:30 am - 6 pm, Sat: 8:30 am - 2 pm (open every other Saturday). We are closed on Sundays.

Requirements

A licensed veterinary technician
1+ years professional experience is preferred but not required
Currently open to training a new grad or someone who is eligible and waiting to take the VTNE
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
Some Saturday shift availability
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Nice To Haves

Positioning for dental radiographs are a plus

Animal restraint
