About The Position

Ardsley Veterinary Associates is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a fast-paced general animal practice offering a wide range of services including preventative care, surgery, urgent care, high-speed dentistry, cold laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography. The practice also has access to board-certified specialists for consultations and procedures. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 6 pm and every other Saturday 8:30 am - 2 pm. They are closed on Sundays.

Requirements

Licensed veterinary technician
1+ years professional experience is preferred but not required
Eligible and waiting to take the VTNE
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
Some Saturday shift availability
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
