About The Position

VCA Westbury Animal Hospital and Pet Care Center is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant to join our team! We are a 4-doctor primary care practice in Dorchester County. We believe in excellent customer service, gold standard medicine, and teamwork. We are open Monday through Thursday 8:30 am - 8 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 6 pm, Saturday 8:30 am - 2 pm. We are closed on Sunday.

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessment.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia.
• Ability to prepare for and assist in surgeries.
• Ability to perform dentistry.
• Ability to conduct radiology.
• Ability to perform laboratory work.
• Ability to place catheters.
• Ability to dispense medications from the pharmacy.
• Ability to monitor patient recovery.
• Ability to provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with practice management software with digital innovations for streamlined practice flow and client communication.
