About The Position

VCA Baring Boulevard Animal Hospital in Sparks, Nevada, is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join its team. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with rotating Saturdays. The compensation range is $25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill set. The technician will support veterinary technicians and doctors by helping create a positive, low-stress environment for clients and patients. The role focuses on delivering an outstanding client experience and providing exceptional patient care. The hospital emphasizes teamwork, individual skills and personalities, continuing education, career development, and an inclusive work environment. Requirements

Experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Veterinary technician credentials such as CVT, RVT, or LVT.

Support technician and doctor teams in creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
Deliver an outstanding client experience and help provide exceptional care to every patient.
Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
Monitor anesthesia.
Prepare for and assist with surgery.
Provide dentistry services.
Perform radiology and laboratory work.
Perform venipuncture and place catheters.
Support pharmacy operations.
Care for patients during recovery.
Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
