About The Position

Animal Emergency and Specialty Center is seeking a Shift Supervisor (LVT) to provide floor leadership, support team development, and help ensure exceptional patient care in our emergency and specialty hospital. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys mentoring others, coordinating hospital workflow, fostering accountability, and helping create a positive and collaborative culture. You'll work closely with hospital leadership while serving as a key resource for technicians, assistants, and support staff throughout each shift.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in good standing or ability to obtain Washington licensure
• Previous emergency, specialty, or advanced clinical veterinary experience preferred
• Prior leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and support team performance
• Commitment to exceptional patient care and team development
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to clinical team members during assigned shifts
• Coordinate workflow to promote efficient patient care and hospital operations
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with daily resource allocation
• Mentor, coach, and support Licensed Veterinary Technicians and support staff
• Participate in performance management, training, and professional development initiatives
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and positive communication across departments
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
• Support implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and patient care standards
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify operational improvements
• Maintain a strong clinical presence and assist with patient care as needed
• Help ensure a safe, respectful, and productive work environment
