Licensed Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

The Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is a specialty practice with board-certified and residency-trained doctors, licensed veterinary technicians, and support teams. This role is for a Veterinary Technician whose primary responsibility is to provide excellent patient care, assist veterinarians and medical staff, and maintain facility and equipment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent veterinary experience (in any capacity) in a veterinary practice with increasing responsibilities is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong in and a willingness to provide client education and communication
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, equipment, and care a plus!
- At least 2 on-call shifts per month for emergency foreign-body endoscopy are mandatory once fully trained
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
Nice To Haves
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Technician
- Provide support to all veterinarians, often assisting more than one on your shift
- Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity based on position
- Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing
- Provide diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
- Properly use and maintain medical equipment
- Provide professional client communication
- Helps keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Maintains client and patient confidentiality
- Meet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivity
- Meet or exceed LVVSC expectations for attendance and punctuality
- Act as an ambassador of LVVSC at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism
