Requirements

  • Active veterinary technician license required for LVTs
  • Minimum 2+ years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in Internal Medicine or a specialty setting
  • Experience with advanced diagnostics and complex case management strongly preferred
  • Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively support both clients and medical team members
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
  • Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) required

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist Internist with advanced diagnostic procedures, patient care, and case management
  • Provide nursing care for complex and chronic Internal Medicine cases, including hospitalized and outpatient patients
  • Obtain detailed patient histories, monitor vital parameters, and collect diagnostic samples
  • Assist with advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, including upper and lower endoscopy and other minimally invasive procedures
  • Coordinate and assist with advanced imaging procedures including CT, ensuring appropriate patient preparation and monitoring
  • Calculate and manage continuous rate infusions (CRIs), fluid therapy, electrolyte supplementation, and medication administration for critically ill patients
  • Provide thorough client communication and education regarding diagnostics, treatment plans, and long-term case management
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
