About The Position

The Virginia Veterinary Centers in Short Pump, VA is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Dentistry Team! We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified Licensed Veterinary Technicians! This role involves assisting veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, performing diagnostic sample collection and imaging, maintaining IV catheters, administering controlled substances, providing client communication, and ensuring proper medical record documentation and OSHA compliance. The position offers hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic imaging and a supportive, team-oriented culture focused on patient care and professional growth.

Requirements

Veterinary Technician License (required)
Strong venipuncture & IV catheter placement skills
Passion for patient care and client communication
Ability to work efficiently in a high-tech, fast-paced environment

Strong communication and client service skills
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast pace setting
Strong sense of compassion and empathy for patients and clients

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre-medication, intubation, surgical prep, and monitoring
Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions
Maintain and place IV catheters, ensuring proper patient care
Accurately administer and document controlled substances
Provide compassionate client communication, from triage to discharge
Ensure proper medical record documentation and OSHA compliance
