About The Position

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Therapist to join their Iowa Cross ACT program in Knoxville, Iowa. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, evidence-based behavioral health services within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping adults achieve greater stability, independence, and success in their communities. The Iowa Cross ACT program is an Assertive Community Treatment program serving a seven-county region, providing coordinated, community-based behavioral health services designed to meet individuals where they are. The Licensed Therapist will be a key part of a collaborative team addressing mental health, substance use, and other individualized treatment needs, connecting clients with necessary services and resources.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field.
Current applicable state license, including LPC, LMSW, or LISW, as required by program licensing and funder requirements.
Familiarity with standard business computer software programs and electronic health care database programs.
Completion and maintenance of all trainings required by licensure.
Ability to obtain required clearances as applicable to the program.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults based on the needs of the program population, utilizing evidence-based practices in mental health, substance use disorders, and other areas as required by the program.
Conduct intake assessments and make recommendations for treatment.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's needs.
Maintain an active caseload and engage individuals in ongoing treatment.
Coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and community resources based on client needs.
Maintain a tracking system for treatment plans and other required documentation to meet program goals and funder guidelines.
Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss treatment goals, client progress, ongoing needs, and discharge planning.
Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency guidelines.
Collaborate with members of the ACT team to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
Provide supervision to non-licensed therapists, counselors, and other staff when needed to meet applicable state licensing requirements.
