LICENSED SUBSTITUTE TEACHER | 2026-27 School Year
About The Position
Applicants for our Licensed Substitute position are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Depending on current substitute staffing needs and the volume of applications received, applicants can expect a response within approximately 2 to 6 weeks. Beaverton School District reserves the right to close this posting at any time and may reopen it as staffing needs change. Applicants should be able to establish a positive classroom climate, possess excellent classroom management skills, and be able to continue the established curriculum in a variety of classrooms. Candidates should possess the skills and confidence to access digital tools and resources should the need arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (regionally accredited or foreign equivalent)
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, an active TSPC license
- 1 year or more of experience working with PK-12 students in a school-based setting OR proof of current enrollment in an Educator Preparation Program
- Pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted teaching license (Including: Substitute Teaching, Preliminary Teaching, Professional Teaching, Teacher Leader, Principal, Professional Administrator, Preliminary CTE, or Professional CTE)
