The Licensed Student Counselor will provide direct counseling services and case management to students, assisting them with personal, academic, career, and crisis issues. This role involves conducting crisis counseling, supporting faculty with mental health questions, and developing caseloads for at-risk students. The counselor will also respond to crisis situations, provide online counseling services, and maintain confidential student records in compliance with FERPA. Additionally, the position will review medical documentation for ADA/504 accommodations, educate staff on disability regulations, and coordinate supportive services for students affected by sexual harassment, assault, dating violence, and stalking, working closely with the Title IX Coordinator. The role also includes providing campus-wide awareness and training on disability rights, Title IX requirements, and available resources, as well as facilitating partnerships with community providers. The counselor will ensure compliance and coordination of services with early alert systems, Maxient, Title IX, and VAWA, and collaborate with various stakeholders to support comprehensive student well-being. Additional duties may be assigned to support the Counseling Department and Student Affairs division. The position requires the ability to work in an office environment, use a computer, conduct counseling sessions, and attend meetings and training. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with mandatory summer hours, and some evening and Saturday hours required.
