About The Position

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and coordination of care for children with developmental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental challenges and their families.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in social work from an accredited program.
• At least 4 years of related work experience.
• Current South Carolina LISW license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of patients and families to identify needs, barriers, and strengths related to developmental, behavioral, and emotional health.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including counseling, psychoeducation, behavioral support, and brief therapeutic services for children and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, therapists, educators, and external providers to ensure integrated, family-centered care.
• Help families navigate systems such as schools, Medicaid, and disability services.
• Advocate for patients and families by facilitating referrals to community resources and support services.
• Document services and communications in accordance with MUSC policies, licensing standards, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in team conferences, diagnostic evaluations, and care planning sessions.
• Support program development and outreach initiatives within the community.
