About The Position

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. (PCM) is a privately owned, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional healthcare practice. We are actively recruiting for a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LGPC or LCPC) to work in the medical department at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, MD. This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Requirements

• Must be licensed as a LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
• Must hold a master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of experience & experience with substance abuse/MAT (i.e., medicated assisted treatment) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, including documentation of findings, mental status examination, case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
• Make referrals to psychiatry when appropriate.
• Conduct risk assessments utilizing structured interviews and risk assessment tools.
• Manage inmates at risk for suicide and/or engaging in self-harm utilizing existing protocols.
• Serve as the PrimeCare Medical (PCM) mental health liaison for mental health services, outside the facility.
• Facilitate admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor all mental health services provided.
• Monitor clinical services to ensure standards of care are in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/psychological standards.
• Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develop and conduct in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar.
• Collect data and prepare monthly reports reflecting performance.

• Annual Salary range is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00.
