About The Position

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as a Behavioral Health Professional in the medical department at Westmoreland County Prison in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. This is a part-time position scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The salary is $30.00–$40.00, negotiable and commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Must hold a current LPC, LSW, or LCSW license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Must have a master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or a related Human Services field, with a concentration in clinical coursework, training, and/or experience.
At least two years of experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, documenting findings that include at least a mental status examination, case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
Refer patients to psychiatry when appropriate.
Conduct risk assessments using structured interviews and risk-assessment tools.
Manage inmates at risk for suicide or engaging in self-harm according to current protocols, policies, and procedures.
Serve as PrimeCare Medical’s mental health liaison for services outside the facility.
Facilitate admission and placement of inmates or patients at forensic hospitals when necessary.
Monitor all mental health services provided.
Monitor clinical services to ensure standards of care align with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric and psychological standards.
Participate as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
Develop and conduct in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar.
Collect data and prepare monthly performance reports.
