About The Position
The Licensed Security Guard maintains a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role includes controlling entrances and managing traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, inspecting security and fire exposures, completing daily activity and incident reports, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating daily with supervisors. The position is suited to someone who is vigilant, disciplined, observant, professional in communication, calm under stress, reliable, customer-service oriented, adaptable, and able to handle multiple priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience.
- State Guard license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
- Vigilance, discipline, and observational skills.
- Clear and professional communication.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
- Reliability and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.
