About The Position

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of: CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION PART-TIME CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTING CLINICAL TEACHER. This is a part-time position, with hours being either 3 days x 3 hours per day (9 hours per week) or 1 day x 8 hours per day (8 hours per week).

Requirements

• Hold a current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a long-term care facility is required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing staff, as well as with the high school’s Licensed RN Nurse Assisting instructor and students, within a long-term care clinical environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in in-home healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise, and guide students in providing proper care to long-term care residents and in-home clients.
• Deliver instruction on ethical practices in nurse assisting.
• Deliver instruction on the critical skills required for the profession.
• Prepare students for future skills labs.
• Prepare students for clinical rotations at affiliated facilities.
• Prepare students for the State CNA licensing assessment.
