About The Position
The Board of Education, Department of Human Resources in Buffalo, New York is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Career & Technical Education Part-Time Certified Nurse Assisting Clinical Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time position, working either 9 hours per week (3 days x 3 hours per day) or 8 hours per week (1 day x 8 hours per day). The role involves teaching, supervising, and guiding students in providing care to long-term care residents and in-home clients. Instruction will cover ethical practices and critical skills for nurse assisting, preparing students for skills labs, clinical rotations, and the State CNA licensing assessment.
Requirements
- Hold a current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in a long-term care facility is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing staff.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the high school’s Licensed RN Nurse Assisting instructor and students, within a long-term care clinical environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in in-home healthcare is preferred.
Responsibilities
