Requirements

Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) from an accredited program. School psychologists with a doctoral degree and clinical experience are eligible.
Current license to practice psychology in the state of New York.
Demonstrated experience in treating OCD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, or autism spectrum disorders using evidence-based methods.
Familiarity with CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, and PE, as evidenced by clinical work, publications, or conference presentations.
Expressed dedication to treating OCD and associated conditions.
Comfortable working with higher-severity populations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues.

Nice To Haves

Multiple state licenses.
Experience with High-Acuity Patients, such as in hospitals, residential, or inpatient settings treating complex disorders like eating disorders, personality disorders, or autism spectrum disorders.
Research, publications, or presentations related to OCD, anxiety, or other related disorders.
Familiarity with training programs at Hofstra University and St. John’s University.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented clinical environment.
Proficiency in implementing and adapting the latest research to clinical settings.

Responsibilities

Conduct Individual and Group Therapy using evidence-based practices (CBT, ERP, DBT, ACT, CPT, and PE) for individuals with OCD, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders.
Participate in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), providing therapeutic interventions for higher-severity cases.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations, treatment plan development, and progress monitoring.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and optimal treatment outcomes.
Contribute to program development by refining and improving treatment protocols based on research and clinical outcomes.
Provide mentorship and supervision to early-career clinicians or trainees, depending on experience.
Engage in professional development to stay updated on the latest research and advancements in treating OCD and related disorders.
