About The Position

The Licensed Psychologist Manager with the Department of Human Services (DHS) plays a key role in supporting the well-being of residents at Ebensburg Center. This position leads the psychological services program at Ebensburg Center by overseeing staff, shaping policies, and guiding high-quality services for residents.

Requirements

  • One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral dysfunction.
  • You must possess a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possess a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
  • Applicants with out of state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the work of Psychological Services Specialists and other assigned staff, including training, scheduling, and performance review
  • Maintain and update departmental procedures that meet all Ebensburg Center, DHS, and other regulatory standards
  • Guide professional development and integrate new practices into ongoing psychological services
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to ensure compliance and high-quality residential services
  • Provide clinical consultation and participate in diagnostic and treatment planning for residents
  • Monitor implementation of treatment plans and follow up on incident management requirements
