About The Position

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to restore families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming character, we give life back to people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues. Our mental health inpatient facility houses 6 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. This facility is adjacent to our 15-acre facility, located in scenic Bangor.

Requirements

• Current, valid license to practice nursing.
• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft word, and e-mail.
• Ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds, working at distinct levels
• Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and continuity of the program and of consideration and respect of clients.
• Customer service oriented, professional attitude
• Valid Driver's License
• Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current TB test and health screen
• Valid Driver's License

• Use of EMR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee detoxing clients with dual diagnosis, ensure that all medical processes and operations are followed, and documented.
• Supervise other licensed and non-licensed staff in the day-to-day delivery of patient care.
• Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.
• Provide nursing care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patient-administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
• Sign, date and perform all charting, record-keeping and care plans following established policies and procedures.
• Provide outstanding individualized resident care
