About The Position
MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is seeking a full-time Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join their team at Atascadero State Hospital in Atascadero, California. This role provides a basic level of behavioral and psychiatric nursing care and facilitates the rehabilitation of forensic clients, patients, or inmates. The LPT is responsible for observing and intervening on any behavior that may injure people, damage property, or signal impending escape attempts. This professional escorts individuals into the facility and performs searches, inspecting mail for any contraband and the facilities for any potential safety breaches.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and First Aid methods
- Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation required
