Lifekind Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join their full-time team in San Jacinto. The role involves delivering evidence-based psychological and behavioral health services to patients in a transdisciplinary pain management setting. This position requires close collaboration with medical providers, physical reconditioning staff, and care coordination teams to enhance functional restoration, treatment adherence, and the overall quality of life for patients managing complex chronic pain conditions. Responsibilities include providing group therapy, individual therapy, and behavioral health intakes based on clinic needs. Requirements

• Master’s degree required
• Active, unrestricted California LPCC license required
• Experience providing psychotherapy to adult patients
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with chronic pain, injury recovery, or complex medical populations preferred
• Experience conducting psychological evaluations for interventional pain procedures or surgical clearance
• Training in CBT, ACT, or other evidence-based pain-focused interventions preferred
• Prior experience in integrated or interdisciplinary healthcare settings preferred
• Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intakes for patients with pain-related conditions.
• Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, MI, trauma-informed approaches) tailored to chronic pain populations.
• Facilitate structured group therapy sessions focused on pain coping skills, functional restoration, emotional regulation, and health behavior change.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans aligned with the patient’s overall medical and physical reconditioning goals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions based on clinical outcomes and interdisciplinary feedback.
• Participate in coordinated care workflows alongside medical providers, physical reconditioning clinicians, and clinic operations staff.
• Communicate behavioral health findings and recommendations clearly to the care team to support integrated treatment planning.
• Contribute to case discussions, handoffs, and unit-based coordination as scheduled.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintain adherence to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards (state licensure, HIPAA, payer requirements).
• Support quality assurance and utilization management processes when applicable.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that reflects the organization’s mission and values.
• Support patient engagement, adherence, and understanding of treatment recommendations.
• Manage emotionally complex clinical situations with professionalism and empathy.
