About The Position

Child and Family Guidance Center is recruiting a client centered Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts (Contractor) at our North Texas clinics. This role involves providing cognitive behavioral family oriented services, medication training, parenting skills training, and case management services to clients. Documentation is critical as clinical notations are considered legal documents. The position also includes monitoring service authorizations, preparing cases for supervisor review, and attending required trainings and meetings. Maintaining professional certification/licensure and a valid driver's license with auto insurance is necessary. A working phone is required for service provision and is eligible for reimbursement. Clients will be referred to in-house prescribers for medication management.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field, a Texas State Board license.
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Mental Health, Family Counseling or Social Work
  • Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Master Social Worker certified license only

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all current city, state and federal laws, rules and regulations, as well as CFGC Employee Handbook, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Provide cognitive behavioral family oriented, medication training, parenting skills training, and case management services to clients of the agency per state specified standards and requirements.
  • Document with the understanding that all clinical notations are considered legal documents and can be used in the court of law. All documentation should be true and accurate, and under no circumstance falsified in any manner.
  • Monitor service authorizations for clients receiving therapeutic services
  • Prepare and present all assigned cases for review by supervisor, as required.
  • Provide services according to the efficiency Benchmark standards set by agency.

  • Attend all team, individual, and agency trainings and meetings as required and scheduled by CFGC management.
  • Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, when applicable.
  • Provide and maintain a valid driver’s license and copy of current auto liability insurance.
  • Must have a working phone to provide services and be eligible for phone reimbursement.
  • Refer clients to in-house prescribers for medication management and treatment.
