The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for preparing and rooming patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information. The LPN will perform laboratory procedures, assist physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administer medications under physician/provider orders. They will also provide basic patient education, follow through with necessary requests, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, and complex wound care may be performed after demonstrated competency. The LPN will also be responsible for organizing and preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. This role requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding principles of growth and development.
