About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to support operations within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Selected LPNs could be called upon to work in an Acute Care Facility or Community Living Center. The facilities supported include the Menlo Park VA Medical Center, Community Living Center, and the Palo Alto VA Medical Center. Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in national security, health care, and information technology.

Requirements

  • Possesses a valid, current license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as an LPN or LVN and be licensed to practice in the state of California; all licenses must be unencumbered and remain in effect during the time they are providing services under the contract
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent LPN experience (LTC/skilled nursing/Rehab/post-acute/med-surg/inpatient preferred)
  • Is capable of providing nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients
  • Has and maintains current AHA BLS certification
  • No sponsorship available
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Nice To Haves

  • LTC/skilled nursing/Rehab/post-acute/med-surg/inpatient experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical nursing care to geriatric patients in Community Living Centers.
  • Support RNs and interdisciplinary staff in care delivery.
  • Perform LPN‑level clinical tasks appropriate to licensure and competency.
  • Monitor patients and report changes in condition promptly.
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and comfort of patients.
  • Document care and observations accurately using VA systems.
  • Follow facility rules, clinical guidelines, and infection control procedures.
  • Participate in daily workflow including sign‑in/out and timesheet validation.
  • Use VA-provided equipment and maintain safe environments.
