About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting. The role involves working independently during night shifts while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Active LPN License (Kansas or compact state)
- Graduation from an approved LPN program
- BLS/CPR Certification required
- Strong ability to work independently (single nurse coverage setting)
- Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- IV Certification preferred
- Experience in long-term care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate medical staff
- Maintain accurate documentation using Point Click Care (PCC)
- Supervise and support resident care activities during shift
- Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
- Take and record vital signs (BP, TPR, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain communication with healthcare team as needed
- Handle care responsibilities independently during night shift coverage
- Perform other duties as assigned
