About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an immediate start in a skilled nursing facility. The LPN will provide direct resident care during night shifts, often working as the sole nurse on duty, ensuring safe, accurate, and compassionate care delivery.
Requirements
- Active LPN License (Kansas or compact license)
- Graduation from an approved LPN program
- BLS/CPR Certification required
- Strong ability to work independently in low-staffing environment
- Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- IV Certification preferred
- Prior long-term care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation using Point Click Care (PCC)
- Supervise and support nursing assistants during shift
- Perform clinical procedures including wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
- Record and monitor vital signs (BP, TPR, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Manage resident care independently during night shift coverage
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team and leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
