Licensed Practical Nurse - Selinsgrove Center (3rd Shift)
About The Position
Selinsgrove Center is seeking dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Licensed Practical Nurses to join their team. This position is crucial in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities by providing daily care and monitoring their health needs. The role involves administering medications, monitoring health, assisting with appointments, providing hygiene care, and adhering to nursing standards and agency policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a full-time position with specific work hours and rotating break days, including every other weekend off and holidays as assigned. Travel and overtime may be required. Free parking is available, and telework is not an option.
Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within one year.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening test.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance, as per the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Nice To Haves
- Currently within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established procedures.
- Observe behavior and physical condition; record and report findings.
- Accompany individuals to outside medical consultations and assist during visits.
- Monitor and assist in personal hygiene care.
- Follow nursing standards and agency policies and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
