About The Position

Amego, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Day Habilitation team. In this role, you will provide nursing support to adults with autism and other developmental disabilities while helping them participate safely and successfully in their daily programs. You will work closely with program staff, clinical team members, families, and healthcare providers to support each individual’s health, comfort, and overall well-being. This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the individuals you support while using your nursing skills in a collaborative, community-based setting. Unlike many traditional nursing environments, this role allows you to become familiar with each person’s needs, routines, and goals and play an important part in helping them remain active, engaged, and as independent as possible. We are looking for an LPN who is attentive, organized, and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The right candidate will value person-centered care, communicate clearly, and bring a calm and supportive approach to both routine care and unexpected medical concerns.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts LPN license in good standing
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A patient, respectful, and person-centered approach

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and support based on each individual’s needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Monitor individuals for changes in health or behavior
  • Respond to medical concerns and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication records, and other required documentation
  • Communicate with families, healthcare providers, and members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Support staff with health-related questions and provide training when needed
  • Help ensure that individuals can safely participate in community activities and day program services
  • Follow all Amego policies and applicable state and regulatory requirements
