About The Position

Coordinate the daily operation and delivery of Day Habilitation services in accordance with NJ DDD regulations and agency policies. Supervise and provide guidance to Direct Support Professionals, Client Coordinators, and designated supervisory staff. Ensure adequate staffing levels and staff-to-participant ratios in compliance with regulatory requirements. Recruit, train, orient, coach, and evaluate staff; identify ongoing training needs and maintain required staff certifications and training records. Ensure person-centered Day Habilitation Plans are implemented, monitored, reviewed, and updated as needed to support participant outcomes. Monitor participant progress, review documentation, and ensure timely completion of progress notes, assessments, and required program records. Participate in Individualized Service Plan (ISP) meetings and collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate services. Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of participant documentation and regulatory records. Ensure incidents are reported, documented, investigated, and followed up in accordance with agency policy and NJ DDD requirements. Oversee emergency preparedness activities, including fire and evacuation drills, and maintain all required documentation. Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate program expectations, policy updates, and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor program operations to ensure participant health, safety, rights, community inclusion, and quality of services. Assist with program budgeting, resource management, and administrative functions as assigned. Collaborate with agency leadership to support program development, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned. Travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in the Human Services related field, with one (1) year of experience in related work experience.
  • Associate's degree, with (5) years of related work experience or a High School Diploma/GED, with 10 years of work experience with the developmentally disabled community.
  • Clear Criminal Background
  • Favorable Physical/TB
  • Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey, plus three years driving history and a driving record in good standing.
