About The Position

This job provides quality care to patients and families to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The role performs general nursing care, assists providers with patient treatment and examinations, collects and documents assessment information, and supports diagnostic testing and procedures.

Employees must follow nursing practice standards, applicable laws and regulations, company policies, and the Code of Business Conduct. The role also requires protecting confidential information and complying with HIPAA and company information-security policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as an LPN or current multistate licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• One year of healthcare experience.
• State-approved IV course certification.
• Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.
• PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards.
• Prepare equipment and assist the physician or clinical provider during patient treatment, examinations, and testing.
• Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and document clinical information in patient records.
• Order diagnostic tests as directed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider, and gather tests or examine results before provider assessment.
• Schedule procedures and obtain authorizations as necessary.
• Give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare specimens for testing, as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Comply with ethical and legal standards, company policies, privacy requirements, and information-security guidelines.
