About The Position
Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Easton, Massachusetts. The role provides direct nursing care to residents under RN supervision and oversees nursing assistant activities to help maintain high-quality care. The schedule is 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends, with pay for 40 hours. The listed rate is $38–$43 per hour, depending on the shift; evening, overnight, and weekend differentials apply. Pay is weekly.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- CPR certified.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility; new graduates are welcome.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of the RN.
- Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
- Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
- Maintain current resident care plans.
- Follow physician's orders.
- Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately.
- Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
- Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs.
- Maintain accurate awareness of residents on the alert list.
- Document and report unusual or significant findings, and contact the physician when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
