About The Position
Kendal at Oberlin is a full-service life plan community serving older adults in the Quaker tradition. The community offers residents lifetime healthcare, including short- and long-term nursing services, memory care, and assisted living, as well as an independent and enriching living experience. The LPN promotes and restores residents’ health by completing the nursing process in the Stephens Care Center. The role includes directing and developing staff, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to residents, friends, and families. This is a full-time overnight position, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., reporting to the RN Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a current Ohio license in good standing.
- Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities
- Review, implement, and evaluate residents’ plans of care.
- Provide nursing care to residents who require specialized nursing care in collaboration with the nurse manager.
- Explain care to residents, their families, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
- Accompany the physician on rounds when the nurse manager is unavailable.
- Ensure accurate communication to all team members concerning each resident’s care and activities.
- Direct and develop staff.

- Provide physical and psychological support to residents, friends, and families.
- Complete the nursing process to promote and restore residents’ health.
