About The Position

The Pediatric Center has been serving the families of Frederick County, MD and the surrounding areas since 1957. It is our mission to partner with our diverse families to provide comprehensive, compassionate, high quality pediatric care in a respectful, friendly, and culturally sensitive environment. We're looking for a full-time and part-time people with previous experience administering vaccines to work on the floor assisting our doctors and nurse practitioners as they provide excellent care to our patients who range in age from newborn-college age. The position is Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with two evening shifts a month and one Saturday (8am-12pm ) shift every 4 weeks. Starting pay $23 an hour with $1000 hiring bonus paid at 6 months.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 1 year experience, preferably in a pediatrics
  • Formal medical training
  • Active Maryland license as an LPN
  • CPR certification required
  • Experience administering vaccines is required
  • Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge required to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Skilled in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide patient care.
  • Possess the ability to maintain quality control standards, react calmly and effectively in emergencies, interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures, communicate clearly, and work effectively with co-workers, while maintaining confidentiality of clinical information
