About The Position

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract/temporary position in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This role involves providing quality nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with a healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for accurate documentation and adhering to all facility and state regulations. This is a 12-hour night shift position, working from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The contract term is for 9 weeks, with shifts assigned by the facility, potentially including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered LPN license in the state of New Mexico (or compact license).
• Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience (preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing).
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently within a team environment.
• Must meet all facility and agency onboarding requirements prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in accordance with facility policies and New Mexico state regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to supervising RN or physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care activities.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and facility procedures.
• Participate in patient and family education as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the facility supervisor.
