About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists with assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients of all ages during the shift. The role is responsible for meeting established standards of skilled nursing practice, collaborating with the care team, participating in interdisciplinary care, advocating for patients, and providing person-centered care and services. This is an onsite position at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, New York. The night shift runs from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM and requires work every other weekend. The standard pay rate is $26.15–$37.00 per hour, and the posting offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Graduate of a Nursing Program.
Current New York State LPN license.
CPR/BLS.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed, sitting or standing for long periods, and physically operating required equipment.

Nice To Haves

Prior patient care experience.
Prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Monitor and record patient/resident vital signs and conditions, promptly reporting changes or pertinent observations to the RN and appropriate nursing personnel.
Provide ethical, professional, patient-centered care within scope of practice and advocate for patients/residents.
Maintain clinical competency through required education and training.
Coordinate care effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
Complete accurate and thorough documentation in the EMR/Point Click Care system.
Participate in unit councils, staff meetings, and other team activities.
