About The Position

The Arc of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking talented, experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a part-time hourly position. This non-profit organization is service-oriented and client-focused, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Greater Prince William area. The role involves providing nursing services, guidance on health issues to staff, and health-related education to staff supporting individuals in the INSIGHT programs.

Requirements

Experience with intellectual and developmentally disabled individuals.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
A license to practice (LPN).
Must be flexible.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (MAT), Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights, OSHA and Van Training.
Must meet state of Virginia employment eligibility requirements.
A valid Virginia Driver's license.
A licensed U.S. driver with a minimum of THREE (3) years driving experience in the United States.
Driving record must meet agency's vehicle insurance carrier requirements.
Ability to attend and pass onsite training classes within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing services to all individuals in the INSIGHT program that require nursing support.
Provide guidance and direction to staff on health issues.
Provide health-related education to staff who provide supports to individuals enrolled in the INSIGHT programs.
