Our team consists of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards residents, family members, and the team.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
- Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
- Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred.
- Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset.
- Strong drive, respect, and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
- Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications.
Responsibilities
- Providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.
- Implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and making changes as required.
- Completing and ensuring resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans, and documentation are accurate and up-to-date, and communicating changes as required.
- Teaching, delegating, and directing unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching and mentorship.
