Licensed Practical Nurse-Primary Care & Multispecialty- Brooklyn
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care as delegated by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Contributes to the plan of patient care and assists in providing a therapeutic environment. Functions within the policies and procedures of the hospital, divisions, and the Clinical Nursing Departments. This is a 37.5 scheduled work week, Monday-Friday with one Saturday a month schedule with a varied schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM hours located in 50 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY. Must be willing to travel to cover at other locations within Brooklyn Medical group locations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Licensure and registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
- Phlebotomy Skills
- Knowledge in Principles of infection control
- Knowledge in Principles of performance improvements
- Knowledge in Principles of delegation
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
