About The Position

Vital Medical Staffing is seeking dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for their PRN team. This role is designed for nurses who prioritize flexibility, possess strong communication skills, and are prepared to fill coverage gaps in various healthcare facilities, sometimes with short notice. The company partners with hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics. Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable, and confident in their clinical abilities, as the role heavily involves PRN and coverage shifts. As a PRN LPN, you will deliver direct patient care within your scope of practice, including administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, accurately documenting care, and collaborating with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and facility staff. Adherence to facility protocols, while maintaining professionalism and compassion, is expected. Effective communication with facility leadership and the staffing team is crucial for shift acceptance, reporting concerns, and addressing patient needs during assignments. Punctuality, preparedness, and a readiness to work are essential.

Requirements

• Active and valid LPN license
• Current TB test
• Active CPI Certification
• Active CPR/BLS certification (instructor-led and in-person)
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Compassion for patients and dedication to quality care
• Ability to work PRN and accept last-minute shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
