About The Position
Vital Medical Staffing is seeking dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their PRN team. This role is designed for nurses who prioritize flexibility, possess strong communication skills, and are prepared to step into facilities needing coverage, sometimes with short notice. The company partners with various healthcare settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics. The position emphasizes reliability, adaptability, and confidence in clinical skills, focusing on PRN and coverage shifts. As a PRN LPN, the role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, including medication administration, patient condition monitoring, accurate documentation, and collaboration with RNs, CNAs, and facility staff. Adherence to facility protocols, professionalism, and compassion are expected at all times. Effective communication with facility leadership, the staffing team, and other healthcare professionals is crucial, particularly when accepting shifts, reporting concerns, or addressing patient needs during an assignment. Punctuality and preparedness are essential.
Requirements
- Active and valid LPN license
- Current TB test
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- CPR/BLS must be instructor-led and in person (online-only courses are not accepted)
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassion for patients and dedication to quality care
- Ability to work PRN and accept last-minute shifts
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Administer medications.
