About The Position

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Compact or Georgia) - Must be active and valid.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS - Must be active.
• Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
• Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
• Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately.
• Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
