About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their day shift team at the Georgia Diagnostic & Classification State Prison (GDCP) in Jackson, GA. This role offers a structured clinical environment with day hours, competitive pay, and reduced stress compared to traditional hospital settings due to clear policies, a dedicated security presence, and no family or visitor interactions. The position involves providing holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (Compact or Georgia) - Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS - Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
