About The Position

This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse – Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. You will perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care, and may administer medication. You will assist the RN with the development of the plan of care and assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. You will monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with the RN, physician, patient, and families. You will document patient care given and work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Additionally, you will schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider and obtain insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved practical nursing program
  • Current LPN license in state of practice
  • BCLS required
  • Handle with Care preferred
