About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct, individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The LPN observes, reports, and records medical information and nursing care in the electronic medical record; instructs patients and families according to teaching plans; and communicates with the healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care.

This position is with Penn State Health Medical Group Benner Pike – Suite 2, an office with Mohs Surgery and Dermatology specialties. The team seeks a personable nurse who can work independently and collaboratively in a busy office setting. The position is part-time, with a 0.50 FTE and varied shifts listed as 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the state of employment, or holds a multistate LPN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before completion of orientation.

Responsibilities
